Manager/Supervisor
Summary

The Shipping Supervisor will be key to the day to day coordinating of the shipping crew. In this role, the Shipping Supervisor monitors and coordinates activities of workers responsible for identifying and preparing products for shipment to customers.
Essential Functions

  1. Communicate internally and with the area Manager regarding orders and transportation need.
  2. Organize and prioritize loads depending on customer needs and resource availability
  3. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements including but not limited to transport and shipping practices.
  4. Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  5. Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of team members.
  6. Monitor workflow among team members and resolve issues as they arise.
  7. Assist team members with work process problems and solutions.
  8. Ensures timely shipping and delivery of goods according to schedule.
  9. Create shipping paperwork including BOL’s

Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages processes and procedures, there are direct reports assigned.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and can be loud. 
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday.
